Google Killed the Webinar Star

Published: Fri, 06/07/13

Remember that song that came out back in 1979 (ok... I know some
of you were  not even born yet ... you young whipper snappers...)

But the Buggle's created a song called... "Video Killed the Radio Star"

People thought that when Mtv came out, that everyone would stop using
radio to play music and just watch music videos on Mtv from now on.

Well... you can imagine how that went.

We still have radio and Mtv does not hardly play music videos anymore.
(when is the last time you even WATCHED a music video?)

So, did Google just kill the webinar star with their Hangouts Model?

If you've seen the new business model out there, people have ditched
Gotowebinar now and going to Google Hangouts On Air as the new
broadcast presentation platform.

I've been using them myself in training and selling products too.

Why?

Because it's FREAKIN FREE!

If you have a Gotowebinar account and are paying $497 a month,
you would drop that and go into Google Hangouts and start doing
your webinars inside of that medium now.

It's way more personal, as you can do a webcam and talk to your
attendees with video (quality is amzing) and then switch at the press
of a button into a powerpoint show or keynote show and show your
slides, just like you would do in Gotowebinar.

Here are the things you can do with these Hangout Systems...

Features Include:
-  Customizable High-Converting Registration Templates
-  Auto-Responder Integration
-  Facebook Connect Registration Options
-  Q&A Management for Admins
-  Video Feed Embed (ie: Google Hangouts)
-  Unlimited Attendees
-  Replay Templates w/ Countdown Timers
-  Call to Action Buttons at Pitch
-  In-Webinar Social Sharing
-  Live Chats from any chat software
-  and SO MUCH MORE...

If you have not been following this lately... you really need to take a
look at two new pieces of software that you can buy for super cheap
that make doing Google Hangouts even easier for newbies and even
the old timers like me.

I recommend you get BOTH of them, since they are so cheap as each
one does similar, yet different things, plus has different angles and
perspectives being taught from webinar/hangout veterans who are using
hangouts to pull over $500,000 in sales, just from hangouts ALONE!

The first one is from Mark Thomspon, called, "Webinar Express"
it's only $27 to get a copy of a complete hangout sign up and replay
system - it's pretty ninja, and I think it's my favorite so far.

Check out Mark's offer here.

Then, there is something from Walt Bayliss called, "Hangout Plugin"
which does many of the similar things, but has a training faculty that
I myself am really excited to get some insights and tips from. The
Hangout Plugin only costs $47 one time and can be used unlimited times
to set up unlimited hangouts and replays.

Check out Walt's product here.

So, I did not know if you had heard about this stuff, and wanted to pass
it on to ya'll so you could evaluate it. You'll be hearing more and more
about it and I am sure you'll get promos from other guys about it too
since it's a hot product to promote right now.

My opinion is... There are still  big big big reasons you should not give up
on Gotowebinar, as it can do some nifty things that hangouts cannot do
yet - and converts really well for selling products, but time will tell if
these hangout plugins get better and better... you just might find yourself
canceling your Gotowebinar accts completely and using this model
everytime from now on.

Why I still use Gotowebinar?
- live chat works and is private
- I can do replays inside gotowebinar
- I use Gotowebinar as an autoresponder
- I have a $97 a month grandfathered account :)
- hangout chat in Youtube is public, haters will hate and people will see it.

What do you think these new hangout tools?

Do you plan on using them or showing brick and mortar businesses
how they can profit more using Google hangouts?
